Bar Daskal is thrilled to welcome back our Maestros series of masterclasses on Wednesday 15th April, with Galician winemaker Olga Verde, who will host an intimate wine tasting upstairs at Bar Daskal.
Olga recently became Technical Director at Lagar de Fornelos, the Rías Baixas winery behind the celebrated Galician labels Pazo de Seoane and Lindeiros. A trained agricultural engineer and oenologist, she has worked harvests in Chile, New Zealand, Terra Alta, and Bierzo, and spent several years working as a sommelier – experience that has deepened her understanding of wines from across the world.
Located in Pontevedra, Lagar de Fornelos produces elegant, aromatic wines from some of the finest Albariño vineyards in Rías Baixas, including the celebrated Lagar de Cervera. The winery forms part of La Rioja Alta, S.A., a historic Spanish wine group founded in 1890 and renowned for its classically styled Rioja wines aged extensively in oak barrels.
For this special evening, Olga will guide guests through a tasting of five exceptional wines, including Hart Bros Albariño, Pazo de Seoane 2024, Lindeiros 2022, Ardanza, and Áster Reserva 2022, served alongside classic Spanish para picar by Executive Chef Francisco José Torrico.
Tickets £50, including five wines, and accompanying para picar. Seating is limited to 20 guests.
Arrival from 6pm with the tasting beginning at 6.30pm
