Barrafina Dubai: our first restaurant outside London
On Monday 26th January, nineteen years after opening on Frith Street in Soho, we opened Barrafina Dubai, bringing modern Spanish dining to a new community.
Executive Chef Antonio González Milla spent several weeks in Dubai overseeing the kitchen to ensure every dish meets our exacting standards. As we embrace this new region, we remain committed to sourcing the finest Spanish produce and continually expanding the range of authentic ingredients available in our kitchen.
The Dubai space features signature Barrafina touches while embracing the elegance of its new home. Twenty leather stools are arranged around a marble and stainless-steel counter with an open kitchen, and original works by Kate Boxer adorn the walls.
Guests can enjoy classic dishes such as tortilla, gambas rojas, and chicken thigh with romesco, together with new dishes like clams with salsa verde, Galician dry-aged beef, and bikini sandwiches with wagyu and truffle.
Cooking at the counter, just inches from the guest, has always been central to Barrafina. It’s a way of dining that was inspired by Spanish culture, shaped in London, refined over years and made possible by all who have been there from the beginning.
