The Drop and Two Drops are excited to announce a collaboration with Ruben Dawnay Rose of Ruben’s Reubens, who has created a fennel sausage ragu toastie, with roasted pepper, parmesan and mozzarella.

Ruben founded Ruben’s Reubens after emerging from the lockdown period with a culinary venture focused on smoking meats and home-curing fish, all sourced from his parents’ garden in Brixton. His Polish-Jewish heritage is the inspiration behind Ruben’s Reubens which has become renowned for its salt-beef sandwiches. Since then, Ruben has been recognised as one of Code Hospitality’s 30 Under 30 Rising Stars, spearheaded successful pop-ups across the city, excelled in the meal kits market, and showcased his sandwiches at Meatopia 2022 and for Delli.Market.

Ruben’s Guest Toastie will be the second toastie in The Drop and Two Drop’s Guest Toastie series, following Seema Pankhania in November 2024. Ruben said of his toastie, “A rich sausage ragu meets a crisp, cheesy toastie. Two comfort foods collide making this a real winter warmer.”

Available at The Drop, Coal Drops Yard, and Two Drops, Battersea Power Station until the 30th of March.
